The frame is made of solid teak and the backrest is made of teak veneer.
We appreciate the craftsmanship of the bent wood on the backrest and the delicacy of the curves.
The backrest and seat have been reupholstered in yellow fabric. The wooden frame is in very good condition and has been restored to its former glory.

Armchair 107 by Hans Olsen
Hans Olsen was born in Denmark in 1919. He began his career as a cabinetmaker before studying design at the Royal Danish Academy, which gave him the opportunity to work alongside some of Denmark's most celebrated designers. He was notably trained by Kaare Klint between 1941 and 1945.
He then became interested in working with bent and molded wood. This allows for a very wide variety of curves and shapes while remaining strong and robust.
His experience as a cabinetmaker, combined with his interest in the study of bentwood, allowed him to create exceptionally comfortable furniture that perfectly conforms to the curves of the human body. Hans Olsen's work is valued as much for its aesthetics as for its ergonomics.
