 A brief word about the designer:
 Michel Ducaroy is a French designer born in 1925. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and then joined the family business, which produced contemporary furniture. In 1954, he joined the French design company Ligne Roset, where he headed the design department until the end of his career. Ducaroy was interested in new materials that emerged in the 1960s and 70s: foam, wadding, thermoformed plastic, and more. His approach to materials and forms makes his creations both modern and timeless. He has designed numerous pieces, the most iconic of which is the Togo sofa.
